AI Engineer

Role Description

This is a full-time, remote-first role as an AI Engineer at ProofStory. The AI Engineer will design, build, and optimize AI-driven systems that analyze customer signals, power our VOC insights engine, and enhance the performance of our marketing and product intelligence tools. Responsibilities include developing and fine-tuning machine learning models, integrating LLMs with real customer data, improving data pipelines, collaborating with engineering and analytics teams, and ensuring our AI stack remains fast, accurate, and scalable.

Qualifications

• Strong expertise in machine learning, NLP, and modern AI model development
• Hands-on experience working with LLMs, vector databases, embeddings, and retrieval systems
• Proficiency in Python and common ML frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow, LangChain, etc.)
• Experience building and maintaining data pipelines and production-grade AI systems
• Ability to turn ambiguous customer data into structured insights through AI
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work on complex, cross-functional projects
• Excellent communication and ability to partner with product, marketing, and analytics teams
• Knowledge of data engineering tools, cloud environments (AWS/GCP), and modern ML ops practices
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or a related technical field
• Experience in marketing analytics, growth, or customer insight platforms is a plus
